Each hat is made to order in the USA in a soft, hardwearing acrylic that holds its shape wash after wash. Choose your base and accent from twenty-nine colors, and it becomes a piece made for one child alone.

Children's head sizes vary so please select size carefully. Because our hats are handcrafted, slight size variances can occur due to design and yarn color choices.

Is this a good baby shower gift?
It is one of our most popular personalized baby gifts. A knit hat with a name is small enough to wrap, useful from the first cold week, and unmistakably chosen for that child.

How does it differ from Skull and Crossbones?
That design carries one large skull above crossed bones. This scatters small ones across the whole hat.

Is this suitable for a newborn?
In Charcoal with Bleached White or Pale Blue with Navy it is playful rather than macabre. Scale does most of the work.

What age is this blanket for?
It is among the designs that age best, particularly in Black in the Large size.

Which size should I choose?
Small suits a baby up to a year, at roughly a seventeen-inch head. Medium covers one to four years at about twenty inches, and Large fits four years through adult at around twenty-two. If a child falls between two sizes, take the larger, the knit has give, and a hat that lasts two winters is the better gift.

Regular or earflaps?
Earflaps for babies and toddlers, who lose warmth through their ears and rarely leave a hat where it was put. The plain beanie suits older children who want the design without them.

• As easy to love as it is to care for: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat.
• To maintain quality and avoid pilling, wash separately, especially from cotton towels or mixed fabrics.
