Our plates are approximately 10 inches in diameter. Each ceramic plate is painted with non-toxic glazes and fired at extremely high temperatures to ensure it is food and dishwasher safe. • Please note: be careful when using the microwave. These plates can be microwaved in short intervals, however be sure not to take it from the refrigerator to the microwave, to prevent the crazing (the tiny cracks). This can occur when a plate goes from one extreme temperature to another. Such as a refrigerator to a microwave, or a hot dishwasher into the cold air. Some dishwashers are high pressure washers that can cause "crazing"
• We suggest hand washing to extend the life of your hand painted piece, but you may put it in the dishwasher. Some dishwashers are high pressure or use very hot water. This may cause crazing
