Can it go in the washing machine? Yes. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then lay flat or tumble dry on low. The acrylic will not fade, shrink or pill, which is what lets it survive daily use with a child.
How many letters can the name be? Up to 9 characters. The font is fixed for this design so the name sits correctly within the pattern.
Acrylic or merino wool? Acrylic is machine washable, comes in all 29 colors and stands up to everyday use. Merino wool is softer and warmer and makes the more luxurious keepsake. Both are knit to the same size and design.
