What is the Chevalier font?
A revived decorative typeface with European lineage, ornate, with the weight and shading of engraved lettering. It is used for the initial only, which is what gives this design its formal, crested look.

What goes in each field?
The Initial field takes one letter, knit large in Chevalier. The Name field takes a first name of up to 9 characters, knit in Arial beside it.

Can I change the fonts?
No. The Chevalier initial paired with the plain Arial name is the design, and the contrast between the two is the point.

Who is this design for?
It reads more grown-up than most of the range, which is why it suits a family room or a guest bed as readily as a crib. In Pale Pink or Pale Blue it softens considerably.

Acrylic or merino wool?
Acrylic is machine washable, offers all 29 colors, and stands up to daily use. Merino wool is softer and warmer and makes the more luxurious keepsake. Both come in the same sizes and design.
