Each hat is made to order in the USA in a soft, hardwearing acrylic that holds its shape wash after wash. Choose your base and accent from twenty-nine colors, and it becomes a piece made for one child alone.

Children's head sizes vary so please select size carefully. Because our hats are handcrafted, slight size variances can occur due to design and yarn color choices.

Is a personalized hat a good new baby gift?
A favorite for exactly that. It is the gift that gets worn out of the hospital and photographed all winter.

Is a name-only hat too plain?
It is the opposite of plain, with nothing else competing, the lettering and the color pairing carry the whole piece. It is also the design most often chosen for older children.

Name or initials?
Either. A short first name reads clearly around the brim; initials suit a longer name that would not fit within nine characters.

Which colors work best?
With no motif, the pairing does everything. Navy with Bleached White, Charcoal with Sand, and Hunter Green with Off White are the most requested.

Which size should I choose?
Small suits a baby up to a year, at roughly a seventeen-inch head. Medium covers one to four years at about twenty inches, and Large fits four years through adult at around twenty-two. If a child falls between two sizes, take the larger, the knit has give, and a hat that lasts two winters is the better gift.

• As easy to love as it is to care for: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat.
• To maintain quality and avoid pilling, wash separately, especially from cotton towels or mixed fabrics.
• When possible, wash alone for best results.
