Each hat is made to order in the USA in a soft, hardwearing acrylic that holds its shape wash after wash. Choose your base and accent from twenty-nine colors, and it becomes a piece made for one child alone.

Children's head sizes vary so please select size carefully. Because our hats are handcrafted, slight size variances can occur due to design and yarn color choices.

Which initial do most people choose?
Usually the first, echoing the name below. Some prefer the surname initial, which turns it into a family piece rather than one child's.

Is the name easy to read from a distance?
That is precisely its purpose. The brim lettering is knit large, which is why it is so often chosen for school and nursery.

Which size should I choose?
Small suits a baby up to a year, at roughly a seventeen-inch head. Medium covers one to four years at about twenty inches, and Large fits four years through adult at around twenty-two. If a child falls between two sizes, take the larger, the knit has give, and a hat that lasts two winters is the better gift.

• As easy to love as it is to care for: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat.
• To maintain quality and avoid pilling, wash separately, especially from cotton towels or mixed fabrics.
