Children's head sizes vary so please select size carefully. Because our hats are handcrafted, slight size variances can occur due to design and yarn color choices.

Is a personalized hat a good new baby gift?
A favorite for exactly that. It is the gift that gets worn out of the hospital and photographed all winter.

Can a name be added?
No, this is the one design here that is not personalized. The three motifs fill the brim where a name would otherwise sit. Our Smiley Face, Peace Sign and Single Heart hats each take one.

Which colors work best?
The three motifs need contrast to read clearly. Neon Orange with Hot Pink is deliberately loud; Bleached White with Navy, Turquoise with Charcoal and Black with Pale Yellow are the calmer pairings.

Is it warm enough for real winter?
Yes. It is knit in a dense acrylic that holds its shape and its warmth, and will not itch the way wool can against young skin.

Which size should I choose?
Small suits a baby up to a year, at roughly a seventeen-inch head. Medium covers one to four years at about twenty inches, and Large fits four years through adult at around twenty-two. If a child falls between two sizes, take the larger, the knit has give, and a hat that lasts two winters is the better gift.

• As easy to love as it is to care for: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat.
• To maintain quality and avoid pilling, wash separately, especially from cotton towels or mixed fabrics.
• When possible, wash alone for best results.
