Personalized Cross Border Monogram Blanket - Three InitialsCross this one off your list. A crossed border frames the monogram on all four sides, which turns a plain set of initials into something that looks deliberately composed. Classic underneath, with enough of a modern twist that it does not read as traditional.
Who it is for. The border makes this one sit well in a finished room, so the Classic Standard Throw and XL sizes work as a new home, wedding or anniversary gift. The stroller and crib sizes make a christening or new baby gift that will not clash with a nursery scheme.

What order do I enter the initials? First name initial, then last name initial, then middle name initial. The last initial sits in the centre and is knit larger than the other two - the traditional monogram arrangement. Entering them in the order you say them will put the wrong letter in the middle.
What does the cross border look like? Two lines meeting at each corner to form a crossed frame around the monogram, knit in your accent color. It runs on all four sides.
How does it compare to Initials & Double Border? Double Border uses two plain parallel lines and three equal initials in reading order. Cross Border uses a crossed frame and a traditional monogram with the last initial enlarged in the centre. Different border, different initial arrangement.
Which colors work best? The border and the monogram share your accent color, so they need to read against the base. Lilac with navy is the sample; off white with charcoal or sand with hunter green work the same way.
Does it suit a modern room? Yes - the crossed frame is geometric rather than ornate, which is what separates it from our Monogram & Scroll design.
