Is this a good baby shower gift?

Can I put three initials on it?
No, this design takes one. The single letter is sized and placed within the checkerboard, and a three-letter monogram would not sit in the blocks. Our Classic Monogram blanket is the one to choose for a full monogram.
Whose initial do people usually choose?
Most often the last name initial, which makes it a family blanket rather than one child's. For a baby gift, the first initial is the more common choice.
Which colors show the pattern best?
The checkerboard needs contrast. Off White with Charcoal is the sample and the most requested. Bleached White with Navy, or Sand with Chocolate, are the other pairings that read cleanly from across a room.
What size blanket should I order?
Yes, it is one of the best in the range for it. In the 50" x 62" or 60" x 80" with a neutral pairing, it reads as a designed throw that happens to be monogrammed.
Acrylic or merino wool?
Acrylic is machine washable, offers all 29 colors, and stands up to daily use. Merino wool is softer and warmer, and is the choice for a keepsake gift. Both are the same size and design.
