Personalized Debonair Monogram Blanket - Three InitialsSome monograms whisper. This one has an opinion. The Debonair lettering is drawn with an inline - a fine stripe running through the centre of each letter - which gives the initials weight and edge without shouting. It is the monogram to choose when the recipient has a bit of style about them.
Who it is for. This is the one that reads as a grown-up gift first. In the Classic Standard Throw and XL sizes it suits a study, a den or a man who would never describe anything as cozy but will use it every evening. The stroller and crib sizes are there when it is going to a nursery.

What order do I enter the initials? First name initial, then last name initial, then middle name initial. The last initial sits in the centre and is knit larger than the other two - the traditional monogram arrangement. Entering them in the order you say them will put the wrong letter in the middle.
What makes the Debonair lettering different? Each letter carries an inline - a thin stripe through the middle of the stroke. It is a detail borrowed from signwriting, and it is what stops three initials on a plain blanket from looking generic.
Is this a good gift for a man? It is the strongest option in the range for that. Black with a bleached white monogram, or charcoal with heather gray, reads as a proper throw rather than a personalized item.
Which colors show the inline best? High contrast. The stripe through each letter is fine, so a pale accent on a dark base - or the reverse - is what makes it visible. Two mid-tones will lose the detail entirely.
Can I have a name instead? No, this design takes three initials. For a name in a bold lettering style, look at Slanted Large Letter or Initial Stamp.
