What makes a good personalized baby gift?
Something made for one child rather than bought for any child. A name knit into a blanket cannot be returned to a shelf, which is exactly why it gets kept, and why it is the gift people remember giving.
What order do I enter the initials?
First, Last, then Middle. The last name initial is knit at the center and largest, so H. R. C. is entered as H, R, C and reads HRC with the R dominant. This is the traditional monogram arrangement.
Is there a font choice?
No. The monogram is knit as fixed artwork in Antique Roman, all uppercase. The letterforms are sized to the box, which is what keeps them readable against the chevron.
Which colors work best?
The chevron needs contrast to hold its shape. Navy with Bleached White is the sample and the most requested. Charcoal with Off White, or Hunter Green with Sand, work the same way. Two close tones will blur the zigzag.
How is this different from your other chevron blankets?
This one frames a three-letter monogram in a box. Our plain Chevron blanket takes a single first name instead, with no box.
What size blanket should I order?
It is one of the best in the range for it. A monogrammed 50" x 62" or 60" x 80" in a neutral pairing reads as designed decor, and it is a popular wedding and housewarming gift.
Acrylic or merino wool?
Acrylic is machine washable, offers all 29 colors, and stands up to daily use. Merino wool is softer and warmer and makes the more luxurious keepsake. Both come in the same sizes and design.
